12 injured in Somali capital mosque attack

Mogadishu (Keydmedia) – Further details are still coming out from a mosque attack in Somali capital Mogadishu , where unknown person hurled a hand grenade about 8:00 a.m local time overnight.

At least 12 worshipers, were hurt, some of them seriously in the attack as hundreds of congregations have been holding Isha prayers in a mosque in Mogadishu ’s district of Dharkenly which is controlled by Somali government.

Witnesses said, the attacker has escaped from the scene after he hurled the hand grenade inside the mosques overnight. Hundreds of local residents reached immediately at the mosque to rush the injured to the nearby hospitals.

No one has so far claimed the responsibility of the mosque attacks, but the blast demolished parts of the building.
