I read your article on Foreign Policy with keen eyes and interest. While whining from public officials does not deserve response from any sensible citizen of the Republic of Somalia, I felt compelled to counter false narrative with more objective analysis.
Recently, there has been a discordant debate about the notion of clan cleansing in Somali society upon the publication of Lidwien Kapteijn’s controversial book. The most penetrating review of the book was made by Mohamed Haji Ingiriis who has designated it a myth.
