Puntland forces kill terrorists during offensive

BOSSASO, Somalia – In response to a prison attack, troops in Somalia’s northeastern Puntland state have executed an offensive against Al-Shabaab in the Bari region’s hills, killing an unspecified number of terrorists.

The regional forces encountered a little resistance from the armed group during the operation that resulted in a high toll of casualties on the extremists, according to a spokesman for PSF.

He has claimed that Al-Shabaab fighters regrouped near Bossaso to fight back but they were eventually overpowered and inflicted losses on the terrorists by PSF who seized weapons and equipment.
