Abdishakur: Farmajo train arrived at extension destination

MOGADISHU, Somalia - The leader of Wadajir Party, Abdirahman Abdishakur Warsame who is a fierce critic of Farmajo has predicted what to expect after the outgoing president's deliberate withdrawal from the meeting in Afisyoni late last week.

“Many were visually impaired to see what is in store for him and his train has finally reached the destination to extend his term replacing his four-year cynical dictatorship into faction leader to follow the path of those warlords who have committed crimes against humanity in the past,” said the outspoken candidate.

‘What makes differed from being potential war criminal is that that he stays in power with legitimacy as the atrocities he commits usually happens with impunity – an internationally recognized President,” he added.

He called on the citizens to continue demanding their needs in organized protests and not to undermine their power to bring the country to change.

According to him, it’s the full participation and public engagement through advocating freedom of expression and assembly to take place that will decide the fate of the outgoing President to eventually give up his greediness.

“Things are not as always as they look; he is a man surrounded by uncertainty and he will never achieve his desire if the public had to resist,” he concluded.

Warsame has added that Farmajo's train arrived at the station as he ended four years of the chaotic and turbulent presidency last February without holding the election of the country.

"Farmajo's train has arrived at the station it had been running towards. Many people who were unsure abt his intention now know better. Anyone who provides financial, military, or diplomatic support to Farmajo's unconstitutional acts becomes part of a crime against the Somali people," he tweeted.
