The provincial commissioner of the region, Abdikadir Mohamed Nor alias Siidii said that al-Shabab has for the first time used a bulletproof car full of explosive into the military barracks in their offensive against the armed forces that took place in Aw-Dhegle District, Lower Shabelle region with the intention to smash the bridge in order to disconnect from receiving reinforcement.

This raises concern over the insecurity terror threat as the security checkpoints surrounding the capital are fragile and negligible and yet another shocking truth that must be swallowed.
The al-Qaida-linked militant group recently stormed military bases killing dozens of soldiers and forcing the incumbent chief of the Somali armed forces to escape unharmed in an attempt to kill him.
