Al-shabaab arrests ICRC officials in Baidabo

Baidabo (Keydmedia) - Al-shabab fighters in Baydhabo district in Bay region in southern Somalia on Friday seized two of International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) officials for Bay and Bakool regions.

Shabaab ICRC detained officials who hails from the resident are called Mahed sagaareey and Abdiqadir Dafiyaa.

The report from the district says no one knows where the kidnapers have taken to hostages.

The two officials of International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) have been recently busy for helping week civilians in the region, but the real meaning of the kidnapping remained unknown.

Some Somali analysts say the cause of the abduction is thought  that Alshabaab want to take money from ICRC which refused to pay much money which Al-shabaab extremist ordered to give them if want to operate Al-shabaab controlling area in central and southern Somalia.

An official of ICRC, who requested anonymity because of safety, said that International Committee of the Red Cross staff concern about the fate of the abducted officials.

Al-shabaab already looted some offices of foreign aid agencies and expelled from residents they control after the agencies rejected to pay money which Al-shabaab can use for fueling Somali crisis.
