Drought leaves five dead in central Somalia

Five people died in the central town of Bulobarde of Hiran region following prolonged droughts.

Local residents called aid agencies for help as their situation worsens.

Meanwhile 5 civilians, 3 of them business men were arrested in Cadale, central Somalia.

The reason behind the arrests is not yet clear but residents expressed concern over the arrests.

Shabab fighters who control the area conducted similar arrests in the past.
