Hand grenade attack kills 1, injues 7 in Somalia capital

The attack took place at a cafee in Fagah intersection; a busy crossroad straddles between Karan and Yaqshid districts in Banadir region, where senior TFG police officers and civilians have been sipping tea early hours of on Friday night.

Eyewitnesses confirmed to Keydmedia English News correspondent in Mogadishu that the dead one was an innocent civilian while the wounded ones in the attack include soldiers and they were immediately taken to health facilities in Mogadishu for treatment.

No group has said it has carried out this hand grenade bomb blast so far, but the attackers have escaped from the scene.

The incident comes just days after many civilians and soldiers were killed and several others wounded in a separate grenade attacks and assassinations by unknown masked armed men in Mogadishu.
