MOGADISHU, Somalia - The new President of Somalia Hassan Sheikh Mohamud has held a meeting with the Saudi Ambassador to Somalia Ahmed Bin Mohamed Al-Muwallad.
According to a statement released by the presidency, Mohamud and the Ambassador discussed a range of issues touching on the bilateral relations between the two Arab League member states.
The Saudi diplomat has congratulated the President on his victory in the May 15 presidential election in Mogadishu and pledged that the Kingdom will work closely with his government.
The President for his part, thanked Saudi Arabia for its continued support to the government and the people of Somalia, adding that he would strengthen cooperation and brotherly relations.
