Hundreds of residents flee to Mogadishu after fighting

MOGADISHU, Somalia (Keydmedia)-Hundreds of people are fleeing from the outskirt of capital Mogadishu for fear of more violence as government troops and African Union peacekeepers have launched to attack rebel positions in the outskirt of Mogadishu, Keydmedia reports.

Between Mogadishu and Afgoye district is Where thousands of internally displaced people have already made their temporarily makeshifts to survive after fleeing from Mogadishu several years ago during the fighting between Al shabab and government troops in Mogadishu.

These fleeing people are trying to escape the fighting seeking a refuge in Mogadishu, one the displacing people who spoke to Keydmedia English News says it was very hard to come to Mogadishu with his family since they were not able to pay the transportations.

“The transport money was so high, and my family was so lucky there were other families who desires to escape to Mogadishu but they will find them hard to pay the transportation row is very expensive,” said one of the displacing people.
