The ambulance was attacked along the Dagahley - Dadaab on Monday afternoon road by four gunmen who shot at the vehicle injuring the KRCS personnel on board.

The suspension of services by the KRCS which started over a year ago leaves the world’s largest refugee camp at a critical situation after other NGOs withdrew their services from the area following the abduction of two Medecin Sans Frontieres (MSF) staff in the camp.

The KRCS in a statement said that it “not endanger the lives of its staff and volunteers” and asked the leadership of the host community to assist in finding the perpetrators of the attack. The organisation further added that it will be using the day to come up with the next course of action.
