Mogadishu death toll rises

Mogadishu (Keydmedia) - The death toll of the latest clashes in Mogadishu has risen as tentative calm returns to Mogadishu.

Fifteen people have been killed and seventeen wounded after heavy fighting between Somali government forces backed by African union troops and Al-Shabab fighters.

Both sides have been using heavy weapons and shells have hit Bakara,the biggest market in Somalia.

Most clashes occurred in Hodan district where government and their Amisom allies managed to flush out Al-Shabab fighters

The wounded civilians were rushed to medina hospital where they are currently being treated.

The latest waves of clashes brought all business activities to standstill forcing businesses to look for safer areas to relocate.
