Muse Sudi asks Farmaajo to depart from the Villa Somalia.

MOGADISHU, Somalia - Senator Muse Sudi urged the outgoing Somali President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo whose four-term ended on Feb 8 has to step down and depart from Villa Somalia and follow the footsteps of his predecessors.

Sudi who is at the forefront in the strong rejection of the extension has managed to maintain control of part of the city by holding soldiers loyal to him who have threatened to topple the dictator if he continues to remain in power, saying "war is inevitable".

He announced that they run out of tolerance for seeing Farmajo in power beyond his term. The senator called on Somali caretaker PM, Mohamed Hussein Rooble to take his role and resume his position responsibly.

“Boys who took up the guns at the age of 15 and continued to carry aged 50 are eager to face the battle – and none of these so-called brigades can stand up in their way,” he said.

"Leave or release what you have,” he added.

Speaking further, Sudi said that Farmajo has no more privileged than the former Presidents who decided to make a peaceful transformation in power.

As long as Farmajo stays in the Villa Somalia, the defected troops will not be retreating to their bases, he vowed.
