GALKAYO, Somalia - At one soldier was killed and three have been injured in a grenade attack by Al-Shabaab militants in the divided Galkayo town on Friday evening, police said.
The militants lobbed a grenade towards security forces personnel patrolling near Omar Samatar school in the north of the city under the Puntland State of Somalia. One passer-by civilian was among the wounded.

The area has been cordoned off and a manhunt has been launched to nab the attackers responsible for the bomb assault, the local police officers who spoke to KON have added.
The city has been the scene of over a dozen deadly terror attacks by Al-Shabaab. Last December, at least 16 people were killed and scores hurt after a suicide bomber detonated himself outside a soccer pitch.
Senior army officials killed in the attack that missed the intended target which was Somali PM Mohamed Hussein Roble who was expected to arrive in the stadium to address crowds came out for his welcome.
