PM: Al Shabab’s attacks on the palace and parliament HQ “organized” in Mogadishu

MOGADISHU, Somalia (KON) - Somali prime minister Abdiweli Sheikh Ahmed has announced that the recent Shebab major attacks on Somalia's presidential palace and parliament were orchestrated in Mogadishu, KON reports.

While addressing civil society members at a meeting held in Mogadishu, the PM said: "Our security agency has obtained a secret information telling that several house in Mogadishu are being planned Al shabab bomb and gun attacks against the government buildings in Mogadishu."

" It was not a citywide disbarment operation, but the national security agency and AMISOM troops have carried out the raids only to prevent fresh threats posed by Islamic extremist group al-Shabab who want to destabilize the country," he added.

Continuing, Somali PM pledged that his government will form a committee to investigate deaths reported during a raid by AMISOM, Somali  troops against the house of former warlord Ahmed Dai in Mogadishu
