Press release — Complaint against the unlawful interference of PM Abdiwali Sheikh and the Puntland State against the formation of a new Federal State in the Central Regions of Somalia from Tanade Darod Clan (Lelkase).

Object: Complaint against the unlawful interference of PM Abdiwali Sheikh and the Puntland State against the formation of a new Federal State in the Central Regions of Somalia.

The Tanade Darod Clan (Lelkase), having considered:

a) The unlawful interference and the open meddling of the PM of Somalia, Abdiwali Sheikh, and the President of Puntland, Abdiwali Gas, are hindering the formation of a new Federal State for Mudug and Galguduud regions;

b) The pressure and the meddling of the Majerten politicians and traditional leaders negatively impacted on the negotiations to establish a Federal State for the Central Regions and the nomination of the Technical Committee;

c) The accusatory and clan based scapegoating words of the PM of Somalia, Abdiwali Sheikh broadcasted by Radio Mogadishu;

d) The clan based meddling efforts of President Gas and the politicians of Puntland to create problems between the clans of the Central Regions;

e) The corrupt politicians from the Central Regions that are being used as tools of regression against the progress and interests of their communities;

Therefore, as representatives of the Tanade Darod clans from the Central Regions:

1. We are requesting the PM of Somalia, Abdiwali Sheikh, to stop interfering with the work of the Ministry of Interior of FGS, the Central Regions Administrations and the nomination of the Technical Committee.

2. We are sending herewith a strong warning to the PM of Somalia, Abdiwali Sheikh, to the Garowe Administration and to the politicians to stop interfering with the State formation of for the Central Regions and remind him of Article 11, Article 12, Article 46, paragraph 1 and 2, Article 48, paragraph 2, of the Provisional Federal Constitution of 2012.

3. If the PM of Somalia, Abdiwali Sheikh and his allies do not stop interfering with the State formation for the Central Regions they shall bear the full responsibility for all instability that might arise, including the loss of trust and support for the this inefficient Federal Government.

4. We are sending a strong warning to the clans, politicians and warlords in Garowe to keep off from the affairs of the city of Galdogob, in particular, and from the State formation for Central Regions in general.

5. The PM of Somalia, Abdiwali Sheikh and his allies they should put the same amount of efforts to preventing that a State is formed for the Central Regions to solving the problems faced by his clan in the Jubba and Gedo regions during the last 24 years.

6. We call on the PM of Somalia, Abdiwali Sheikh and his allies to clearly declare why they oppose the establishment of the Mudug and Galgudud State.

7. We are requesting the PM of Somalia, Abdiwali Sheikh, to be fair and just concerning the problems existing between clans and to establish a fact finding commission, and help with real mediation and reconciliation for the clans of the Central Regions.

8. Once again, we are requesting the PM of Somalia, Abdiwali Sheikh, to not commit the mistake of mixing the affairs of the Tanade clan (Leelkase) with his now open opposition to the establishment of an administration for the Central Regions, agreed and signed by his predecessors.

9. Finally, we fully support the establishment of a unified administration for the Mudug and Galguduug Regions and we appeal to the Somali nation to respect each other, ownership of territory, security, unity, peace and good neighborhood between clans of the Mudug and Galguduud regions.
