Somali leaders set to hold crucial election talks in Mogadishu

MOGADISHU, Somalia - The leaders of all regional states have reached the capital Mogadishu to attend the election conference that is due to kick off soon.

The heads of Galmudug, South-west, HirShabelle, Puntland, and Jubbaland have already made their presence ahead of the opening of the key talks.

The meeting will be chaired by PM Roble and is expected to be attended by opposition candidates and civil society for inclusive dialogue aimed to fix the electoral row.

The security of the Afisyonie near the airport, where the national consultative forum will happen has been extremely tightened by Somali and AU forces.
