Somali election officials arrive in Jubaland for 16 seats election

KISMAYO, Somalia - The chairman of the Federal Electoral Commission Muse Guelleh Yusuf, along with other top election officials arrived in Kismayo, the interim capital of Jubaland state.

The delegation, who left Mogadishu this morning, was welcomed at Kismayo Airport by officials from the Jubaland state and the regional election body SEIT.

FEIT Chairman of the Federal Electoral Commission Muse Guelleh Yusuf accompanied by the Jubaland Electoral Commission will proceed to the Elwaq district in the Gedo region shortly.

The Federal Electoral Commission (FEC) is on a visit to the Elwaq district to inspect and assess the venue for the election of 16 seats, which will be held in the coming days, per the FEIT plan.
