Somali PM unveils cabinet, including ex-Al-Shabaab No.2 leader

MOGADISHU -- Somalia Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre has officially announced his new cabinet after he was endorsed by parliament on June 25, 2022, to take the office.

The PM appointed 27 ministers, state ministers, and deputy ministers. He said he consulted widely with president Hassan Sheikh in the formation of the cabinet,

The former Al-Shabaab deputy leader Mukhtar Robow is on the cabinet list which has female ministers who will have to be approved by parliament before assuming offices.
