MOGADISHU, Somalia - The President of Somalia Hassan Sheikh Mohamud is expected to travel to Uganda today for a two-day visit, Keydmedia Online has learned from Villa Somalia sources.

The president's trip is the 8th to go abroad since his election in May of this year and came after he received an invitation from his Uganda counterpart President Yoweri Museveni.

The two Presidents will jointly chair the investment and trade forum of the two countries which opens in Kampala tomorrow, Tuesday, and will last from the 9th to the 10th of this month.

Uganda is one of the African countries that have troops in Somalia, helping the government in Mogadishu in the war against Al-Shabaab that has been going on for more than 10 years.

Since last June, Mohamud visited UAE, Turkey, Eritrea, Kenya, Djibouti, Tanzania, and Egypt. He postponed his schedule to go to Ethiopiaa amid reports that PM Abiy Ahmed is out of Addis Ababa.
