Somali Security forces raid house, kill senior Al shabab commander in Mogadishu

MOGADISHU (KON) - The Somalia National Army (SNA) have conducted on Saturday evening a raid on a house in northern Mogadishu and killed a top Al shabab commander, KON reports.

The al-Shabaab fighters put up a fight, but their commander, who the Somali ministry of national security identified as Nur Barahow, was killed on spot following an exchange of gunfire between the SNA personnel and Barahow.

A Somali government official has confirmed the death of the militant, and said that two others from Al shabab group were captured alive during the operation by army personnel at the premises of the militant compound.
