Suspected freed in southern town

15 people arrested in connection with acts of insecurity in the southern town of Luq have been freed after they were proven innocent by ahlu sunna wal jama administration,officials said.

The people were arrested following clashes between government troops and Ahlu Sunna Wal Jama on one side and Al-shabab on the other.

Sheikh Mohamed Hussein Qadi , Ahlu Sunna Wal Jamapokesman told reporters that the suspects were released after hours of investigation.

The fighting in luq reportedly left six people dead while thirteen others were wounded.

Meanwhile, tentative calm has returned to Mogadishu where Somali government troops backed by African Union troops managed to push Al-shabab back in several key positions after days of heavy clashes.
