The motive behind the murder is not unclear, and there is no word from Ahlu Sunna Waljama’a (ASWJ) a pro-government group that controls the town.

In an attempt to find out more about the incident, Keydmedia English News reporter in Mogadishu contacted some elders in Abud-waq town who said the murder \"is a shocking moment for all of us, all the peace loving people, Mr.Hirse was a peace loving man.
