Ahmed Diriye, spokesman of Hawiye elders calls for warring parts to stop fighting

Ahmed Diriye Ali, spokesman for Hawiye clan elders held press conference in the capital Mogadishu and told reporters that it was not something better to capture the presidential palace and continue violence which could only the problems of the Somalia people, but he said it was better for Hisbul Islam and Al-shabab to accept the peaceful talks and come to the negotiation table as the transitional federal government accepted.

It isn’t known what this call would be different than previous calls that Ahmed Diriye used to suggest to the warring groups and the government headed by Shiekh Sharif Sh. Ahmed which controls a few areas in the capital Mogadishu.

On the other hand, Ahmed Diriye also called for other division of Hawiye elders to stop propaganda and abuse against his wing and demanded to pay an apology about a statement they have said in the local F.M. stations in Mogadishu.

“We know one another and you ‘group’ are pro-Hisbul Islam and Al-Shabab groups”, Ahmed Diriye said speaking to the reports.
