Big Blast Kills More Than 8 in Mogadishu

Mogadishu (Keydmedia) - More than 8 people have been killed and many others wounded after mine blast occurred in parts of Dharkenley district in Mogadishu, witnesses, officials said on Tuesday.

Eyewitnesses confirmed the casualties of the explosion which caused deaths of more civilians that most of them were children who were around where the blast took place on Tuesday afternoon.

It is unclear the main grounds of the blast and there is no group claimed the responsibility of the blast so far, but shortly after the mine blast Shabelle had contacted with the administration of Wadajir district for the traditional government of Somalia saying that Al shabab were the mastermind of the attack.

Reports say that the explosion was aimed at a Somalia MP and the district commissioner of Wadajir who reportedly travel in the areas where bomb attack took place as the latest updates indicate most of the injuries were rushed to the hospitals in Mogadishu.

Al shabab extremists carried out more grenade and suicide blasts in the capital that lost lives of many more civilians and government officials in Mogadishu.
