Somali soldiers and AMISOM troops have stationed in the neighborhoods of Suqa-Holaha village and Maslaha building in Huriwa district, northern edge of Mogadishu where Al shabaab is not far away from.

The remaining local residents in Huriwa told Kedmedia English News by phone that there are heavy military movements in the district and anytime fighting could restart. Sporadic gunfire could sometimes be heard in the battle zones.

Al shabaab and Somali government have each claimed victory over the deadly confrontations.
