Yusuf Haji, who is the Kenyan state defence minister said he was surprised with President Sharif’s statement over Kenyan military operation in Jubba regions in the pretext of pursuing Al-Shabab militants.

At a meeting in Nairobi, where the minister attended Ogadeni meeting (his clan), he could not hide his clan emotions, and accused President Sharif of undermining the Kenyan military operations to eliminate Al-Shabab.

Since the launch of Kenyan military operation Mr Haji was happy man, with the belief that his dream is forming clan state in Jubbaland is will soon be true by using Kenyan forces.

Mr Haji is the mastermind of a so called Azania state for Jubbaland led by his relative Muhammad Abdi Gandi, who is an Ethiopian refugee with French passport.

The so called Azania region enjoys the support of African Union individuals in Kenya and Somalia, like Wafula Wamunyinyi and some others, who also attended the inauguration of the clan state in Nairobi.

The aim of Haji and Gandi is to unite the Ogaden clan in Kenya, Ethiopia and Somalia, a move that can cost the stability of Horn of Africa region.

Some unconfirmed reports say Haji himself is not genuine Kenyan citizen, but an Ethiopian who moved to Kenya before Kenya got its independence.

Yesterday , President Shaykh Sharif of Somalia opposed the Kenyan military intervention in southern Somalia, describing it as a move without the blessing of Somali government.
