Gunmen open fire on passenger car in Somalia, 4 killed

GALKA’YO, Somalia (Keydmedia) - Unidentified gunmen have on Monday open fire on passenger car traveling in central Somalia, killing at least four people, injuring ten others, among them women and children, Keydmedia reports.

Eyewitnesses told Keydmedia the vehicle was Mini-bus that was en route from Mogadishu to Galka’yo town, 750 Kilometers northeast to Somali capital, Mogadishu. The attack tool place Abarey village near Galka’yo town, the capital of Mudug region.

The injured people were taken to the hospitals in Galka’yo for medical treatment. Locals expressed concern over the incident.

The motive behind the attack is yet unclear, but Anonymous gunmen always fire on public vehicles that cross region to another in Somalia and kill the innocent passengers. - Mogadishu, Somalia
