Mogadishu mayor says politicians on mission to destabilise the region

MOGADISHU, Somalia (Keydmedia) - Mohamud Ahmed Nur, the governor of Banadir region for the Somali government accused some of Mogadishu politicians of being responsible for the insecurity in the capital, amid life returns to normal, Keydmedia reports.

“Undoubtedly, the security of Mogadishu has been improving fairly in the past few months since the pull out of Al-shabab rebels. Local residents stood to rebuild again their country after 20-years of conflict that ravaged the nation’s legal institutions and infrastructures, said Mr. Tarsan.
 
The governor stated that there are two enemies against the growing peace and stability of Mogadishu in which he explained the enemies to be Al-shabab and certain Somali politicians who are trying to jeopardize the developments made by Banadir administration.
 
“There are people each pursuing its own agendas and aiming to force us comply with their demands and embrace their ideologies and serve for their political objectives by spread chaos and insecurity in the entire region,” he added.

Lastly, the governor of Banadir region for Somali government Mohamud Ahmed Nur, called on residents of Mogadishu to defend their security and protect peace spoilers.
