Multiple blasts rock Mogadishu, Al shabab claims responsibilities

MOGADISHU,Somalia (Keydmedia) - Huge bomb blasts have rocked on Sunday in Somalia’s capital, Mogadishu, the latest attacks to happen in the city in fewer two days, Keydmedia reports.

Eyewitnesses told Keydmedia English correspondent in the capital on Sunday that the first bomb exploded at a business site in Towfiq, village while the second took place at Arafat village that was targeted on AMISIOM convoy. The figures on the casualties are yet unclear.

Somali and AU forces have reached at the scenes of the explosions and conducted sprawling search operations to find out those carried out the attacks, but no one was arrested for the incidents so far, according to the locals.

It was yesterday when two blasts killed at least five people, mostly soldiers and injured six others in the in the sprawling Bakara market, where Somali police were conducting operations to demolish illegal kiosks and business sites along the streets of Mogadishu.

The militant group of Al-Shabab which has in the past launched similar acts of violence in Mogadishu and other parts of Somalia has claimed responsibility for the attacks.
