Mutinous Ethiopian troops pull out from Beled-Hawo town near the border

KISMAYU, Somalia (Keydmedia) – Hundreds of Mutinous Ethiopian troops in the border town of Beled-Hawo in Gedo region of Somalia began on Sunday pulling out from the town.

Residents in Beled-Hawo town celebrated in the dusty streets after the last convoy of Ethiopian trucks were seen heading out of the city, according to sources Keyedmia English News received from the town.

"Today is like a holiday. For months after, it is the first time that our town is without the Ethiopian occupation force" Beled-Hawo resident told Keyedmia English News by phone.

Reports say the troops made mutiny after facing months of unpaid salaries from the Ethiopian government.
