“Ahmed Godane is a candidate for becoming the Al-Qaeda’s east Africa chief and he misled and assassinated Fazul Abdullah Muhammad,” Sheikh Abdullah said.

Al-shabab supporters say that Fazul Abdullah Muhammad has been close friend of Abumanur Robow and abu Mansur Al-amriki which caused that leader of Al-shabab, Ahmed Godane got angry and assassinate him.

The presumed head of Al-Qaeda in east Africa, Fazul Abdullah Muhammad, wanted for blowing up the US embassies in Kenya and Tanzania, was killed in Mogadishu week ago.

Fazul Abdullah, 38, is thought to have planned the massive truck bombings in Nairobi and Dar es Salaam that killed 224 people in 1998 and had a $5 million bounty on his head.
