Somali president names new prime minister

MOGADISHU(Keydmedia.net)-Somali president Sheikh Sharif Sh. Ahmed has named Mohamed Abdulahi Mohamed for new prime minister of Somalia becoming the second prime minister of his government, reports said.

In a press conference held in the presidential palace-Vila-Somalia, the president of Transitional Federal Government Sh. Sharif Sh. Ahmed named Mohamed Abdulahi known as Farmajo long talks and counseling later after former Prime Minister Dr. Omar A/Rashid Ali Sharma’ake resigned early last month.

The new prime minister is not very familiar to the Somali’s field of policy but it’s said that he was Somali Diaspora diplomat and lecturer at state university of New York at Erie community college.

President Sharif told that he was expected to nominate the new prime minister saying that he had elected an educated individual whom he wishes to pay his duties well.

The prime minister said that he would handle the security situation in the country and will install his cabinet ministers soon adding that he would collaborate with parliaments.

The prime minister was born in Mogadishu in 1962 and he took his education from primary up to secondary in the capital of Somalia while he had taken his degrees of bachelor and master degree in the united states of America in particular (state university of New York at Baffalo).

The prime minister faces hard tasks into ways first parliamentarians will either approve or refuse him and on other hand he will face daily attacks from Islamist militias of Al-shabab and Hisbul-Islam against his government backed by the African union peacekeeping forces in the capital Mogadishu.
