Somali warlord escapes from Ethiopian jail

EL-WAK, Somalia (Keydmedia) - Undependable sources confirmed to Keydmedia by phone from El-Wak town in Gedo region that Barre Hirale, Somali warlord accompanying with senior army offices have arrived in town on Tuesday, Keydmedia reports.

The warlord and the other associated leaders were reportedly escaped from a jail in Dolow district, a border town in the southwestern Gedo region of Somalia, just 50 km (31 mi) north of Luuq and controlled by Ethiopian troops where they have been kept for more than two years.

According the locals Barre Hiiraale, the warlord is now in El-Wak town where he is setting up a major offensive against the invading Ethiopian forces inside Somalia’s Gedo region for revenge.

This year,Ethiopian troops have again crossed illegally over the border and have entered Gedo region and are en route to Bay region to pursue Al Qaeda linked militants of Al shabab rebels.
