Somalia approves arms restriction law

Mogadishu (KON) - The federal government of Somalia has today approved a law restricting the selling and using of weapons in the country.

Speaking to the media after the cabinet endorsed the law, government spokesman Ridwan Hajji Abdiweli has said the law will be forwarded to the national assembly for approval.

If the parliament approves the law will restrict the producing, importing, selling of already high flow of arms in the war torn country.

The feeble western back government has failed to control the flow of illegal arms into the country after the broke out of the civil war two decades ago.
