A source at Somali PM office confirmed with KON that Abdullah Mohamed Ali (Sanbalolshe) was officially fired from the post of NISA director over undisclosed circumstances.

Mr Sanbalolshe's sacking becomes the 3rd Intelligence chief to be dismissed since Somali president Hassan sheikh Mohamud took power in late 2012.

In July, 2014, Somali government fired the police and intelligence chiefs a day after Islamic militants attacked the heavily guarded presidential palace in the capital, Mogadishu.
