Somalia seaport Official escapes Car bomb blast in Mogadishu

MOGADISHU (KON) - A Somali seaport official has narrowly escaped an assassination attempt after a bomb was attached to his car went off in Mogadishu on Sunday, KON reports.

A Somali police officer told KON that an Explosive device was planted under the car of Abdi Ali Jama, a deputy manager of Mogadishu harbor and the bomb exploded out his house in Hamarweyne district, causing no casualty.

Eyewitness said the targeted officer was in a nearby MCH ( Mother and Child clinic) in the area during the attack which destroyed his car thoroughly. The blast sent a plume of smoke into Mogadishu
