MOGADISHU, Somalia - Al-Shabaab launched a suicide attack on a Somali military base in Qayib area of ​​Galgaduud region, located in central Somalia on Monday morning.

Heavy fighting started in Qayib area, which is about 30 kilometers from the city of Bahdo, it is said that two vehicles loaded with explosives attacked the bases of the local forces who are receiving support from the Somali military based in Somalia in the war on Al-Shabaab.

Various sources in the city of Bahdo told KON that heavy fighting has been going on there for several hours. Qayib was one of the areas that were recently removed from Al-Shabaab.
