BOSSASO, Somalia - Al-Shabaab militants have launched a mortar attack on a Puntland military base in the Af-Urur located on the outskirts of ​​Bossaso, the regional capital of Bari.

Local residents said they heard artillery shells hitting the base camp and its environs early in the morning before armed militants engaged in a fierce gunfight with the regional troops.
