MOGADISHU, Somalia - At least 3 civilians were killed and several others hurt after a barrage of mortars targeted the presidential palace in the Somali capital Mogadishu, police said.

This is the third time the Somali capital has been targeted in less than three months, following a March mortar attack that left at least two people dead and several Ugandan soldiers injured.
No group claimed responsibility for the shelling, however, Al-Shabab carried out numerous attacks over the years, mostly in Mogadishu, where thousands killed in car bombings.
