NISA director visits Ethiopia’s intelligence agency Center

ADDIS ABABA - The Director of NISA Mahad Salad, who is on an official visit to Ethiopia, inspected the IMEDA intelligence agency Center, a day after he arrived in Addis Ababa for a two-day visit.

Ethiopian intelligence officials briefed Mahad Salad on how the information-gathering center works and its role in securing the country, which faces internal and external threats after attacks.

NISA and the National Intelligence and Security Service of Ethiopia have recently signed an information-sharing and counter-terrorism agreement in Mogadishu as the two countries face Al-Shabaab.

Mahad Salad's first trip to Addis Ababa since assuming NISA leadership this year came days after he hosted Sisay Tola, the deputy director general of Ethiopia's National Intelligence and Security Service [NISS] in Mogadishu.

The NISA Director will discuss the strengthening of relations, the exchange of information on Terrorism, and the fight against Al-Shabaab with Sisay Tola who invited him to Addis Ababa.
