NISA says dismantled a terror network in Baidoa

BAIDOA, Somalia - The National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA) has announced that it has captured an Al-Shabaab network that was preparing an attack in Baidoa city.

The Southwest state police chief Mohamud Mohamed said that the number of arrested 12 Al-Shabaab suspects and they are currently being questioned in the custody taking to court. 

The network captured by the NISA includes disabled people who have been accused of collaborating with the Al-Qaeda-linked Al-Shabaab group which is battling the government. 

Baidoa, the capital of the Bay region, is one of the venues for the upcoming parliamentary election in Somalia which will take place in 11 areas, including the capital, Mogadishu.
