Somalia’s National Salvation Forum warns of Extension Term

MOGADISHU, Somalia - The National Salvation Forum that co-founded by the regional leaders, the Somaliland Politicians, and the Opposition Candidates have strongly condemned the conspiracy driven by the acting Somali Parliament Speaker, Mohamed Mursal in-equivalently seeking an extension for the outgoing President whose term ended on February 8.

In a statement issued, the NSF has opposed any attempt to extend the previous mandate of the current government which failed to hold timely and inclusive elections at end of its tenure.

The Forum has condemned Mursal's decision to suspend 15 lawmakers from attending the Wednesday session due to their refusal of the extension during last Saturday meeting which ended in chaos.

The National Salvation Forum which was established on 18 March has also slammed the deploying of undercover agents from NISA to the House designated to threaten the life and dignity of the opposing lawmakers.
