Without doubt, president Yusuf left an indelible mark in the Somali history. Some would like to present him as a national hero, patriot, warrior, and honest figure while others see him as national traitor, dictator, self righteous, tribalist, and corrupt leader. One of the reasons behind these opposing views is that President Yusuf singlehandedly sought military support from Ethiopia for establishing his rule on south central Somalia.

Consequently, Ethiopia dominated the internal and external affairs of Somalia.

I read your article on Foreign Policy with keen eyes and interest. While whining from public officials does not deserve response from any sensible citizen of the Republic of Somalia, I felt compelled to counter false narrative with more objective analysis.
