What are the changes expected from the new elected prime minster?

Although the selection and search to the election of the post of the next prime minister was not independent of President Sharif Sh. Ahmed alone, but shared by international community who have great political influence in Somali’s systems and other Somali tribes who liked their politicians to be nominated for the post.

The president had meetings and counseling with foreigners and Somalia citizens about who would be chosen for Somali’s next prime minister and with high qualified political individual who could solve the insecurity situation in the capital, Mogadishu and whole Somalia and an individual having support from the international community and Somalia likely.

Sa’id Farah Garad, an educated figure, was thought to be appointed prime minister a week before, but the international community refused that individual although it was said that before the refusal of international community, group of parliamentarians known as AALA-SHIEKH who are close colleagues of president Sharif Sh. Ahmed whom he considers them very much also objected, but what these are and their role in presidential palace, we will discuss in another article.

Mr. Sa’id Farah and others who were candidates for the post of the prime Minster came to an end on Thursday afternoon 14th October after the President of Transitional Federal Government, Sheikh Sharif Ahmed named Mohamed Abdulahi Mohamed nicknamed Farmajo as the prime minister of Somali.

The nomination occurred at Somali presidential palace, Villa-Somalia, in a press conference held last week there.

As the elected prime minister’s profile shows he had taken his primary and secondary in the capital Mogadishu while he had taken his degrees of bachelor and master degree in the United States of America in particular (state university of New York at Baffalo).
The new prime minister is not very familiar to the Somali’s field of policy but it’s said that he was Somali Diaspora diplomat and lecturer at state university of New York at Erie community college.

He was teaching leadership skills, project management, negotiation and conflict resolution and these are necessary to the problem in the country in particular the negatiation and conflict resolution and managing government’s income.

If he fills that gap and achieves all obstacles which could confront him through his knowledge and well mannered political strategy that he comes with including military activity management that leads Somalia to a better future, of course we are completely sure that he would gain success.

But the situation will only worsen if he starts feeding it breast or serve for especial interest to a country, group, individual or his private interest before the common, he will follow his predecessor’s way of failure and corruption.

Mohamed Abdullahi Mohamed ‘Farmajo’ has close ties with the United States of America where he had been the latest two decades and he is expected to get support from the international community.

He used to go with Somali’s political leadership with in his eyes and ears early, but he is involved in today and it’s he who is required to recognize the government members who are known not only grouping but also working with government’s enemy.

The prime minister should build his cabinet ministers according to their knowledge and compatriotism and very concise and effective number whom he wishes that they will fulfill their duties as required.

Many of the parliamentarians like what is called 4.5 systems to be used as scale in power sharing system, if that is heard or respected as they are, will never lead victory, but setback and the consequences we have inherited from past.

The prime minister faces hard tasks into ways first parliamentarians will either approve or refuse him and on other hand he will face daily attacks from Islamist militias against his government backed by the African union peacekeeping forces in the capital Mogadishu.

The parliamentarians are divided into groups and they are the first puzzle which needs solution from the prime minister, other wise they will not give him vote of confidence and force him to leave office with out functioning.

The crisis of the parliamentarians is something clear, nor in doubt.

The new prime minister, Mohamed Abdullahi ‘;Farmajo’ should bear in mind that new page opens for him which will be written his ups and downs, he is to face the situation surely.

Keydmedia.net asks Prime Minister, Mohamed Farmajo what he caries since he faces new atmosphere, new people and new policy which were confused.

I read your article on Foreign Policy with keen eyes and interest. While whining from public officials does not deserve response from any sensible citizen of the Republic of Somalia, I felt compelled to counter false narrative with more objective analysis.
