Rooble has pledged to prioritize the role of youth in building Somalia and the process of good governance participation.
MOGADISHU, Somalia -- The caretaker Somali PM, Mohamed Hussein Roble congratulated the Somali youth on the 78th anniversary of 15 May when Somali Youth League was founded.
A group of 13 members co-founded the League that succeeded eventually in the birth of the New Somali Republic after years of struggling to reclaim independence from the Italian colony.
Roble has pledged to prioritize the role of youth in building Somalia and the process of good governance participation.
“We will empower the youth to achieve in the millennium development goals as they are overwhelming the largest party of the population,” reads the statement.
The PM is in Djibouti to attend the inauguration of President Gelle who won the national election for the fifth time in a row in which the outgoing President declined to participate in.
As the security situation in Somalia is still fragile, some western countries dared to re-establish their diplomatic presence in Mogadishu.
