MOGADISHU, Somalia - The security forces of Somalia managed to end the attack on the Villa Rose Hotel, which is located between the Presidential Center and Jila'ow prison after almost 20 hours.

The attack started last night at 8:00 p.m. last night after armed men from Al-Shabaab entered the hotel and fought for long hours. The siege sent a shock wave among Mogadishu residents.

The spokesperson of the Somali Police Force major Sadik Doodishe said that the security forces finally succeeded in killing the five gunmen who attacked the hotel and rescued 60 people.

The spokesman confirmed that the attackers killed 8 people, including civil servants and other officials while several people, including the security minister, were wounded.
