The President of Somalia already met with the leaders who participated in the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly and discussed with them on the war on Al-Shabaab.
WASHINGTON - The President of Somalia, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud held a meeting with his United States counterpart Joe Biden after attending the 77th session of the UN General Assembly.
The president of Somalia who assumed office in May this year from Farmajo after winning the presidential election praised the US government for its role in the war against the Al-Shabaab group.
Mohamud told Biden that the government and its people are jointly fighting against Al-Shabaab to liberate their country from terrorism, according to a statement issued by Villa Somalia.
The selfless and courageous war led to the recapture of key areas from Al-Shabaab, added Hassan Sheikh, calling for international support to win the combat.
