Somalia PM arrives in Djibouti for 3-day visit

MOGADISHU, Somalia – The prime minister of Somalia Hamza Abdi Barre arrived in Djibouti for a three-day visit, starting on Tuesday, 8th November 2022.

The PM’s entourage which included ministers of petroleum and women affairs received a red-carpet reception at the airport by Abdoulkader Kamil Mohamed, Prime Minister of Djibouti, and other officials.

The PM is on a 3-day visit to Djibouti. He will hold meetings with the leaders of Djibouti regarding the strengthening of relations and cooperation between the two countries,” said the PM’s office.

Djibouti is one of the Horn of Africa countries involved in the 15-year AU military operation in Somalia, and it has thousands of soldiers operating in the Hiran region, who are called locally “Hiil Walaal”.
