MOGADISHU, Somalia - Somali government reported that NISA conducted an operation in Galka Salimow in the Lower Shabelle region, killing 21 members of Al-Shabaab and wounding 10 others.
This operation was carried out after NISA received information indicating that Al-Shabaab militants were planning an attack against the Somali military bases in the southern region.
The government of Somalia said that its forces have killed nearly 200 members of the Al-Shabaab in four days of operation in Middle Shabelle and Hiran regions in the south and central Somalia.
